Your invoice for the Fall 2022 semester is now available in NEST. Your fall 2022 payment due date is Monday, August 22, 2022.

What does the invoice include?
This invoice reflects your balance using costs, including tuition, fees, and the University Student Health Insurance premium for full-time students*, as well as all applicable housing and meal plans. You can use this invoice for your financial planning well in advance of the payment deadline and as a point of reference when applying for funds from a 529 plan, private loans, financial aid, etc.
* Full-time student status for health insurance is considered twelve (12) or more credits for undergraduate students and nine (9) or more credits for graduate students.
Find your invoice
- Log in to NEST using your university NetID and password.
- Go to the “Student Accounts” webpage on the left side.
- Go to the “View my invoice” portlet and select “View statement and payment history”.
- Select “View Activity”. Here you will see your Fall 2022 bill which is based on your enrolled credits, fees, financial aid, room and meal plans if applicable.
- Your fees and payments are reflected in real time on NEST. Please visit NEST to see changes to your schedule.
- Semi-monthly invoices are emailed on the 1st and 15th to your Montclair State University email address.
Payment deadline
Your Fall 2022 payment due date is Monday, August 22, 2022. If you are signing up for a payment plan, please refer to the payment schedule that is emailed to your email address of Montclair State upon successful registration.
Payment options
Payments can be sent by post or made online via NEST. You can use any form or combination of payment options below to pay your bill. For more information on payment options, please visit the payment options website.
- Cash: You can pay cash at the cashier’s desk, in person at Red Hawk Central.
- Cheque/Money Order:
- Make a check/money order payable to Montclair State University.
- Please include your CWID number on the check/money order.
- Payments can be mailed to Montclair State University, Cashier’s Office, 1 Normal Avenue, Montclair, NJ 07043.
- Electronic check (E-Check) or credit/debit card:
- All electronic check or credit card payments must be made to NEST via TouchNet.
- Please note: Credit cards are not accepted at the cashier desk.
- E-check payments will be processed at no additional cost.
- When paying by credit/debit card, a non-refundable convenience fee of 2.85% of your payment is charged by our credit card service (there is a minimum payment of $0.50 with a 3 $.00 when using a credit card).
- All electronic check or credit card payments must be made to NEST via TouchNet.
- PayMyTuition: an international payment gateway.

Need a payment plan?
The University offers TouchNet Installment Plans and they are officially open now! You can enroll in one (1) plan for one (1) semester at a time. Financial assistance options to pay your bill
- Your Federal Direct Loans as offered; if available see on NEST.
- Your parents may consider a Federal Direct PLUS loan. If declined due to credit, you will receive additional unsubsidized loan funds in your name.
- Any creditworthy borrower or you with a creditworthy co-signer can consider an alternative loan.
Important Notes About Your Invoice
- Review the Montclair State University Financial Accountability Agreement.
- This invoice shows your financial assistance (currently) that can be applied to your account and the resulting net amount that will be due.
- Any adjustments to your Fall 2022 schedule (for example, adding or removing classes, changing your accommodation or your meal plan), may affect your bill. If you maintain 12 to 18 credits, the flat rate cost of undergraduate tuition and fees will not change.
- Recent Parent PLUS or Private Loan applications may not be reflected in the estimated assistance amount on this invoice.
- Students are billed on a semester basis (fall, winter, spring and summer). Montclair State University reserves the right to change tuition, fees, health insurance premium, and room and board each academic year.
- Note for freshmen starting this summer or fall: If your invoice shows that you are enrolled part-time or there is no invoice because you do not have a class schedule yet, please contact your university college success center for assistance:
