LEXINGTON, Ky. (December 8, 2021) – Starting Monday, December 13, University of Kentucky Transportation Services will offer students parking permits for the spring semester 2022 for sale online and onsite.
The following permits will be available: periphery (K) and off-peak (O). To learn more about parking permits in general, visit the Transportation Services website.
Online orders placed before noon on Friday January 7, 2022 can be mailed. Orders placed after this date and time must be picked up in person at the Transportation Services Customer Service Center.
Online sales will close at noon on Friday January 21, 2022, after which all permits must be purchased in person.
The UK Transportation Services office is located in the Press Avenue garage, 721 Press Ave. Regular office hours are 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. An exterior express window is available for those who prefer to collect their permit without going inside.
Please note that any outstanding parking tickets must be paid before a new permit can be issued. Quotes can be paid online or in person.
Eligible students who do not have a parking permit or wish to switch from a Periphery (K) permit can submit an online lottery application for both Suburban (C) and Residential (R) permits, provided that ‘they meet the eligibility conditions. The draws usually take place two to three weeks after the start of each semester and a notification is sent to the lottery winners by email.
Spring semester off-peak (O) permits cost $ 80, while semester periphery (K) permits cost $ 136. For more details on parking areas, see the daytime student parking card and the off-peak parking card.
The UK Transportation Services customer service center will be closed during the winter holidays – December 24-31 – but online sales will be available during this time.
