International Student Services – Long Beach City College

LBCC campuses are closed to students and members of the public beginning Tuesday, March 17, 2020. Student Services is not doing in-person business until further notice. Please visit the LBCC Coronavirus COVID-19 website for other means of service.

International admission: During this closure, we will assist you remotely with your admissions applications, as well as with the admission and processing of international admissions applications. You will complete the online international admission application and upload the required documents, in PDF format via the online application. To access the list of required documents, you can visit the International Student Program Requirements page. After submitting your application, you will receive an email with your application confirmation number within 48 hours.

As an international student, studying in the United States is a great way to build the future you desire, and studying at a community college like Long Beach City College is a smart (and affordable) way to start your higher education. Long Beach City College offers associate degrees, transfer programs, professional certificates, and an intensive English program. The International Student Programs (ISP) provides expert support and immigration counseling to students of F-1 and M-1 status on campus, as well as assistance to prospective students during the application process. Long Beach City College is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC).

Permanent residents and U.S. citizens can apply directly to the Admissions and Records Office. Other types of visa applicants must change their immigration status to F1 or M1 to be eligible for admission to international student programs.
