On-Campus Job Opportunities
As a graduate student, there is a wide range of employment options on campus.
Our Career Center offers our students a multitude of opportunities. While the Career Center offers workshops on writing your resume and cover letter, they also offer so much more. As a graduate student, you have access to on-campus career fairs, interviewing facilities, and a network of partner companies seeking Stony Brook graduates. Additionally, the Career Center can put you in touch with job opportunities abroad through the MyWorldAbroad and GradConnection portals.
Prevention and Awareness Center
The Prevention and Awareness Center aims to provide the campus community with prevention, early intervention, education and awareness services regarding public health issues that affect students, including but not limited to limiting, substance abuse, mental health, and sexual and interpersonal violence. .
Counseling and psychology services
CAPS, our counseling and psychology services, offers a variety of resources to help graduate students along their journey and support their mental health and well-being. Students can meet with available counselors to discuss or join a mindfulness mediation program. Here are some of the services offered by CAPS.

Financial Aid / Financial Support
Our financial aid office can help you navigate the options available to make Stony Brook financially possible. Also, scholarships are available only for graduate students.
Graduate Student Advocate
Graduate students have the unique ability to contact a dedicated graduate student advocate intentionally to help guide graduate students through various obstacles. Additionally, the Graduate Student Advocate can connect you with available resources.

Student Support Team
The Student Support Team is designed to support all students facing adversity and difficulties in life. The Student Support Team coordinates efforts to help graduate students who face challenges or concerns to succeed at Stony Brook University. Their goal is to empower students to overcome obstacles and grow both inside and outside the classroom. Below are some examples of the types of challenges the Student Support Team can help with, but not limited to:
