Duchesne Dean of Student Services Appointed New Assistant Director of Student Life | Community

ST. CHARLES, MO (July 20, 2022) – Duchesne High School is proud to announce Debi Turner ’96 as the new Assistant Director of Student Life. Turner will assume this role in addition to her current position as Dean of Student Services at Duchesne.

This will be Turner’s 10th year at Duchesne. She spent her first seven years as Athletic Director before moving into her current role as Dean. She graduated from Missouri Western University with a bachelor’s degree in exercise science and is completing her master’s degree in teaching at Lindenwood University.

The Assistant Director of Student Life is a newly created position focused on curriculum, accreditation and teacher shadowing. Turner said the duties will be constantly changing, focusing on whatever the school might need throughout the school year and providing “extra set of hands” for the principal.

This position will expand an already strong partnership between Turner, Principal Dominic D’Urso ’95 and President Susan Noonan.

“The three of us work so well,” Turner said. “Putting myself in a position where we can work together more is kind of the idea behind it all.”

Turner looks forward to continuing to work with students to help things run smoothly as dean and now extending that support to teachers.

“I’m excited for a new challenge,” Turner said.
