DPS bus crashes into splitter, no student was in vehicle

Indore (Madhya Pradesh): A major incident was averted on Wednesday morning when a Delhi public school bus slammed into a pole after crossing the road divider on the bypass. Luckily there were no students on the bus at the time. The incident happened around 6 a.m. However, photographs of the accident became the talk of the town as people remembered the tragic accident involving a DPS bus in 2018.

According to regional transport officer Jitendra Raghuvanshi, a DPS bus crashed into the road separation on Wednesday while trying to save a vehicle loaded with vegetables coming from the wrong side. Police removed the bus immediately after the incident and moved it to Kanadia Police Station.

“We checked the bus after the incident and found no abnormalities as the bus cruise control was working and it also had the fitness and license. It was an accident, but no one was injured” , said the RTO.

The official took action against other vehicles, including passenger buses and school vans that were running out of compliance, and seized a school van and a passenger bus for having no certificate of fitness.
